I met a man, a warrior who fought for freedom, compassionate to the depth of His core, but willing to uphold righteousness with a mighty hand. He does not waver, yet loves more powerfully than one has personally known, with kindness and gentleness to those he calls His own. He is, He was, and He always will be. I've danced with Him, I've been corrected by Him, I've been directed by Him and all for the bettering of who I am today. I walk with Him still - I know Him. So can you.
He is not an idea, He is Jesus, the Son of the Father, the Living God, and He personally invites you to know Him today.
Who is Jesus and why?
"I am the way, the truth, and the life" - Jesus
What does this mean? He is the way. Jesus before He was known as Jesus was the spoken word of God that went forth to create all things. But then came to earth taking on the body of man and disrobing His divinity to be born as a baby through the womb of a virgin, to experience the temptations and sufferings that mankind faces, yet through it to lead the way as an example of how we are to live. Jesus was crucified by the very people He came to save, for such as that He was the only perfect sacrifice, having never sinned through His time on earth, and died on the cross as an atonement for the sin of all mankind. We are only atoned however if we accept the sacrifice He made for us, for He is the way to be reunited to the Father, God, our creator who sits on the throne of heaven.
Why? Ultimately God will have no sin in heaven, and being that we've all sinned and are born with a sin nature, we must be forgiven and cleansed of our sin in order to unite in heaven when our days on earth are done. (Some sooner than others, as it may be.)
You may argue that you are a good person, and to the eyes of man that may be so, but God sees the heart.
He is the truth. In the days before Jesus was born unto earth, the law of the land was based on the actions of man. You may agree that the acts of stealing or killing would qualify as sin. However, Jesus came and is the truth and gets to the heart of the matter. God made known that not only is stealing sin, but so is greed and covetousness that often dwell in a person's heart before the act of stealing ever takes place. As with killing, people generally don't kill someone without anger, unforgiveness or bitterness (the result of anger and unforgiveness together) stirring somewhere within before the outward act is ever apparent to anyone - but God.
God sees our hearts and Jesus made known that He came to satisfy the law so that we would no longer be under the law (being judged by the action), but under grace (conviction by the state of the heart before the action ever occurs) - this can be found in the Bible and explained in the book of Romans in chapter 6, verse 14.
You may think this sounds harsh rather than under grace for God to judge sin based on the state of the heart even if a person never acts on the motives of the heart. But let me ask you, how far is too far? How far does someone have to be pushed before they respond? Nobody wants to end up in jail or with a weary conscience of what they've done. How much better that God sees our hearts, sometimes even before we do, and deals with the matter there before we are publicly shamed and dealt ramifications that can't be undone? Even if the actions don't incite jail time, is it worth tearing apart homes, relationships, personal freedom, or the emotional baggage and hurts that come with it? God loves us. He ultimately wants good for us. He give us a standard, but He won't force us to abide by it. That is why Jesus came to show us the truth, for He is the truth. In Him nothing is hidden. When we choose Him, we choose truth.
He is the life. While speaking of the way, it was explained that Jesus died as a pure sacrifice to atone our sins. But Jesus did not remain dead, for on the third day after His crucifixion, he was raised from the dead and ascended to life, thus conquering death and now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven interceding on our behalf. It is through our acceptance of His atonement, our repentance for our sins, and the forgiveness given by the Father in response to the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus (a part of the father, yet His Son sent down to earth), that we are given new life here on earth to live in the fullness that we were meant to walk in and a guarantee to eternal life with the Father in heaven where freedom reigns.
The decision to walk with Jesus is not one to be taken lightly, but in it is the satisfaction, love and fulfillment that can't be found anywhere else. He knows what you are made of, do you? He has an awesome plan for you, but it is up to you to take the first step.

I want new life. I want fullness of life. I want to know Jesus as my Savior.
If you want this, it really is as easy as accepting Him, asking for forgiveness for your sins, and inviting Him in to be your Lord and Savior.
If you would like to follow a prayer, you can simply confess the following aloud. Feel free to be specific and make it your own.
Prayer: Jesus, I need you. I recognize that you are the Son of God, that you came to earth to show us the way, died for our sins and rose from the dead so that we can live through you. Forgive me for my sins, and wash me clean. Make me a new creation in you. Come into my heart and be my Lord and my Savior. I thank you for washing me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Romans chapter 10, verses 9 & 10 explain that salvation comes through believing in your heart and confessing with your lips that Jesus is Lord.
If you have confessed this prayer, then you are accepted by God and washed clean from your sins. You have been forgiven. You have been born again into the life of Christ. Please contact us if you have made this decision as we celebrate with you.
